We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing project execution, and driving business growth within their assigned client base. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact in the fire safety industry. This unique position encapsulates three primary functions of our business - Customer Service, Estimating and Project Management.

Responsibilities:

CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters.
• Proactively identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within the assigned client base.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to address client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.

ESTIMATING

• Perform site surveys to determine project scope.
• Prepare detailed project proposals, estimates, bids, and contracts in collaboration with the management team.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Responsible to supervise and manage direct report(s).
• Conduct internal and external meetings to review project progress, address concerns, and identify new opportunities.
• Manage full scope of project including coordinating project implementation, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
• Ability to display strong sense of urgency in response time to client, when addressing problematic situations, identifying and escalating critical tasks or issues.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and project execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Proven track record of success in project management roles, preferably in the fire safety or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, building codes and regulations, specifically NYC.
• Ability to read and interpret fire alarm CAD blueprints and schematics, sequence of operation.
• NICET Certification is desired.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make educated decisions, effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Fire Safety Alarms, Inc. (FSA), is a well established fire alarm company founded by several Chief Officers of the New York Fire Department in 1979.

The company was originally located in Manhattan when the scope of work was confined to fire protection consulting services with high-rise commercial buildings. We specialized in obtaining waiver/modifications of Local Law 5/73, preparing timetables of compliance, and conducting assessments of high rise properties.

In 1981, FSA moved to Jersey City and expanded operations to include fire protection engineering, fire alarm design, inspection and fire alarm installation pursuant to the High Rise Fire Safety Law known as Local Law 5/73.

In 2024, FSA moved to Newark, NJ to expand its office space.

FSA is licensed by the State of New York for Security and Fire Alarm Systems, License No.12000028978, and the State of New Jersey, License # 34FA00134400. Our technicians hold required FDNY certificates of fitness and/or NICET certification.
