Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant (hybrid) to our direct client, a global pharmaceutical company in Raritan, NJ.

Title: Finance Manager - Contract

Pay Rate: $72.56/hr (W-2)

Contract: 6 months (with possible extension)

Overview: Our client is undergoing a significant organizational transformation within its Supply Chain organization. This Finance Manager will support the financial work associated with separating expenses and financial reporting between the existing Supply Chain organization and a newly established standalone Supply Chain entity.

The consultant will play a key role in ensuring expenses are accurately classified, reported, and communicated throughout the transition while maintaining compliance with corporate accounting policies and financial reporting standards. This role requires close collaboration with Supply Chain Finance, Accounting, and regional business partners to ensure financial data remains accurate and supports strategic decision-making during the separation project.

Responsibilities

- Chart of Accounts & Expense Management

- Review and correctly classify Supply Chain expenses within the appropriate chart of accounts.

- Ensure expenses are allocated correctly between the Supply Chain organization and the newly separated Supply Chain entity.

- Support accounting adjustments and reclassifications as organizational structures evolve.

- Maintain financial integrity throughout the transition.

Financial Reporting

- Prepare and analyze financial reports supporting Supply Chain operations.

- Ensure accurate reporting of operating expenses (OpEx) and project-related costs.

- Monitor actual expenses against budgets and forecasts.

- Identify and investigate reporting discrepancies.

- Assist with month-end and quarter-end reporting activities.

Supply Chain Finance Support

- Partner closely with Supply Chain Finance teams to understand operational spending.

- Track Supply Chain expenses across multiple business units and cost centers.

- Support financial planning related to Supply Chain operations.

- Help maintain financial visibility throughout the corporate separation.

Business Partnering

- Serve as a finance resource for regional Supply Chain Finance and Accounting teams.

- Provide guidance on financial reporting requirements.

- Answer questions regarding expense allocations and reporting structures.

- Coordinate with stakeholders across multiple regions to ensure consistency.

Accounting & Compliance

- Ensure accounting treatments comply with company policies and GAAP.

- Support journal entries, reconciliations, and expense validations.

- Assist with audit requests and documentation.

- Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.

Process Improvement

- Help establish financial processes for the new Supply Chain organization.

- Improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.

- Assist in documenting new financial procedures.

- Support special projects related to the separation initiative.

Primary Required Skills: Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Supply Chain experience
