Vendor Management Lead Technology Program Manager

As a Vendor Management Lead Technical Program Manager within JPMorgan Chase, Corporate Sector, Chief Technology Office- Identity and Access Management (IAM), you will drive the successful delivery of complex technology projects and programs that will help reaching business goals across the firm. Leveraging your deep knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories is essential for developing innovative solutions, while simultaneously effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams. Your strong analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to navigate through ambiguity and change, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business goals. With advanced communication and stakeholder management abilities, you will foster productive working relationships and influence decision-making to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. As a subject matter expert, you will contribute to the development of operational plans and risk management strategies, ensuring the highest quality and professionalism in service delivery.
You will play a pivotal role in delivering IAM initiatives by orchestrating engagement across internal teams and third-party suppliers. You will organize, track, and follow up on actions to ensure seamless execution in line with established timelines, dependencies, and risk management practices. This dynamic, hands-on position requires close collaboration with stakeholders in product, engineering, operations, governance, sourcing, legal, HR, and supplier organizations. Your leadership will drive successful outcomes through effective stakeholder management, clear and transparent reporting, and a commitment to continuously improving program processes and documentation.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated engagement plans for vendor management, coordinating delivery across teams and suppliers to ensure timely execution with minimal business disruption
- Monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and provide regular, senior-level status updates aligned with reporting requirements
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and drive timely resolution of issues through coordinated action and escalation
- Lead stakeholder and supplier meetings, deliver executive-ready summaries (including financial tracking), capture decisions, and ensure timely follow-up on action items
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, controls, and audit requirements, maintaining organized documentation to support all reviews and approvals
- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance vendor management and IAM delivery efficiency
- Maintain organized program artifacts and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Jira, Confluence) for accessible documentation and workflow tracking
Support management with additional ad-hoc assignments as required
- Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing contingency plans to maintain project and program momentum
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business stakeholders, to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall business goals
- Utilize advanced analytical reasoning to assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven optimizations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to break down objectives into actionable tasks
- Skilled in stakeholder management, building productive relationships and achieving positive outcomes across teams and suppliers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines
- Proactive self-starter, comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and eager to learn and apply program management tools and processes
- Experienced with workflow tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), capable of translating complex data into clear summaries and impactful visuals
- Consistently proposes and implements process improvements to enhance program efficiency, reporting, and stakeholder experience
- Advanced experience in utilizing technical fluency, including knowledge of vendor products and managing vendor relations, to enable on-demand access to shared pools of applications and services
- Proven track record of effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience supporting multi-product technology programs, vendor software exits, and enterprise-scale transformation initiatives
- Familiar with frameworks for managing risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and collaborating with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure alignment
- Exposure to agile delivery models and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and business partners.
