• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:00pm

PrideNow, the light industrial staffing division of Pride Global, is hiring Tool and Die Makers to join a precision manufacturing environment. This hands-on role involves machining, fabricating, assembling, and maintaining dies, jigs, fixtures, and tooling to exact specifications. Candidates should bring strong mechanical aptitude, machining expertise, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform complex maintenance and fabrication of tools, dies, and parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to plan machining sequences.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other conventional or CNC equipment.
• Fabricate and machine steel blocks, dies, and parts to required dimensions.
• Perform grinding, filing, shimming, and adjustments to ensure precision fit.
• Assemble and repair dies, jigs, gauges, and tools.
• Verify alignments, dimensions, and tolerances using calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators.
• Conduct test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Select appropriate metals and alloys for tool and die construction.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate irregularities or repairs needed.
• Train and support apprentices as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Journeyman’s papers or at least 10 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker or Machinist.
• Strong background in steel fabrication and machining of blocks and parts.
• Hands-on experience with grinding and lathe operations.
• Ability to fabricate, assemble, and repair precision tooling and dies.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
