Ultrasound Technologist - NJAPS #4

Location: Various Hospital Locations – New Jersey

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts

Position Type: Contract (Full-Time, 40 hrs/week)

Job Overview:
A healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Sonographer with RDMS credentials to perform diagnostic ultrasounds, assist with invasive procedures, and ensure image quality for optimal diagnosis. This is a weekday-only contract role that may involve float coverage and occasional overtime.

Key Functions:

• Perform general and specialized ultrasound exams per physician request.

• Use portable scanning equipment when required.

• Assist physicians during complex sonographic procedures.

• Prepare and educate patients before procedures, ensuring comfort and compliance.

• Archive images, review results, and update EMRs as appropriate.

• Maintain ultrasound equipment and manage room readiness.

• Comply with hygiene, infection control, and safety procedures.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other imaging staff.

• Cover shifts, float when needed, and participate in departmental training.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a recognized ultrasound technology program.

• Active RDMS certification and CPR credential required.

• Familiar with PACS, EMR, and common ultrasound platforms.

• Must be capable of lifting patients and standing for long periods.

• 1+ years of relevant experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply with solid clinical rotations.
