Associate - Truck Driver/Warehouse Support

Job Summary

Responsible for receiving and overseeing all incoming shipments into the KB600 warehouse. This includes inspecting incoming product for damages, quantity, handling paperwork from driver, and verifying lot numbers. Also responsible for assisting with transfers between warehouses, outgoing shipments, and general warehouse tasks where needed.

Essential Job Responsibilities

· Unloading FTL and LTL on receiving floor.

· Inspecting product for damages and quantity.

· Handling paperwork from driver.

· Checking lot numbers and filling out company inbound sheet.

· Receiving product into Acctivate with correct PO.

· Scanning paperwork into each PO

· Communicating with warehouse manager regarding incoming shipments.

· Assist with other warehouse tasks such as outgoing shipments, transfers between warehouses, and organization.

· Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from plants or retail and distribution centers

· Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance

· Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts

· Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

· Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

· Collect and verify delivery instructions

· Report defects, accidents or violations

Working Conditions

· Prolonged periods sitting

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

· Warehouse production environment

· Travel-Less than 10% of the time

· Standing majority of shift

· Noise typical of a production and warehouse environment, majority of shift

· Must be willing to work extended shifts

· Must be willing to work weekend.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

· 2+ years Operating forklift

· 2+ year of truck driving experience

· Highschool degree or equivalent

· Valid truck driving license - CDL A

· Willing to submit to background/drug checks

R equired Skills

• Strong verbal communication and written skills
• Detail-oriented and willingness to learn
• Able to confidently operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and scissor lifts.
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain a positive and effective working relationship with other employees

Proven work experience as a Truck Driver

· Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

· No recent moving or driving violations

· Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

· Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
