Kitting Clerk

Your main responsibilities

• Kit jobs according to requirements from engineering drawings and bill of materials or using picking list.
• Aid Purchasing Buyers and Production to maintain inventory levels of all parts as required for kitting and assembly (including inventory needs for large jobs to insure adequate inventory supply).
• Be capable of reading, receiving instructions, and communicating in English
• Capable of operating the computer as required for kitting functions and to produce the required documentation,
• To be capable of working without supervision.
• Maintain an acceptable level of productivity, completing kits in a timely manner to meet ship dates, for on-time delivery.
• Confirm production orders, in order for material to properly flush inventory out of SAP.and scan all material during the picking process.
• Responsible for stockroom security.
• Coordinate with other departments for fabricated parts as required.
• Pick and pull parts orders with enough time to ship on schedule.
• To be familiar with various components which are used in assembly and kitting functions.
• To meet company Quality and Safety standards in all work.
• Inspect all completed jobs.
• Always use correct PPE as required.
• To be capable of reading, receiving instructions and communicating in English.
• The employee is frequently required to stand; walk primarily on a level surface; sit; use hands and arms to write type and reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. The employee must frequently lift 25-40 pounds and/or move up to 40 pounds (team lift).

What you bring

  • High School Graduate or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • ELEC/MECH Engineering, drawing and BOM
  • Manufacturing process, equipment, routing
  • Multiple task management and project management
  • Problem solving skills or lean six sigma
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical/financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables where no standardization exists. Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and blueprints for materials and specifications.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint, or other software.
