## Position Overview
The HR Manager will oversee all HR operations and compliance monitoring for a 50+ employee staffing company. This role ensures the effective delivery of HR services, maintains regulatory compliance, and supports a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HR operations, employment law, and process improvement within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
## Key Responsibilities
### HR Operations
- Oversee day-to-day HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and employee records management.
- Develop, implement, and refine HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support business objectives.
- Manage HRIS and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and support talent management programs.
### Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO, OSHA).
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes and documentation to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and HR trends; communicate changes to leadership and staff.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including responding to regulatory inquiries.
- Develop and deliver compliance training for managers and employees.
### Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports for leadership, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
- Track and report on compliance-related activities and outcomes.
### Employee Relations
- Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and recommend resolutions.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture.
## Qualifications
- Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Bachelor's or HR certification preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in HR operations and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws across the 50 states and Canada
- Experience in the staffing or recruiting industry preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
