Finance Intern

This Intern will rotate through our Accounting, Finance, and Finance Support departments.
They will gain exposure to core financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts
receivable, general ledger, financial reporting, and support functions that enable day-to-day
finance operations. The intern will assist in monthly close processes and provide general
administrative and operational support across the finance organization.

The responsibilities listed below are representative of the types of work performed within the role and may vary based on departmental rotation and business needs.

• Provide administrative support, including data entry, document organization, and maintaining financial records
• Support audit requests by gathering and organizing documentation
• Assist with vendor and customer inquiries and route requests appropriately
• Analyze and reconcile accounts
• Assist with the monthly close process across departments
• Prepare basic financial reports for management
• Enter journal entries and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
• Assist with invoice processing, tracking, and follow-ups
• Help manage shared finance inboxes and communications
• Collaborate with IT on system integrations and invoicing-related processes
• Assist with process documentation and improvement initiatives
• Support ad hoc finance, accounting, and operational projects as needed

• Current Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience in an Accounting or Reporting system a plus

We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $22/hour. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, geographic location, when determining a starting rate of pay.
