Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Pediatric Primary Care
Position Type: Contract
Pay Range: $20–$23/hour (W2)
Location: Neptune, NJ 07754
Shift: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Equipment: EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Phlebotomy, EMR Systems

Required Education & Certifications (Mandatory)

• High School Diploma or GED (REQUIRED)
• Active Medical Assistant Certification (ANY ONE REQUIRED):

• CMA – NHA / NCCT / AAMA
• RMA – AMT / NAHP
• NCMA / AMCA
  • AHA BLS Certification (REQUIRED)

Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory)

• Minimum 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience (REQUIRED)
• Experience with pediatric patient care (REQUIRED)
• Ability to administer pediatric immunizations (REQUIRED)
• Strong experience with vitals and patient rooming (REQUIRED)
• Ability to perform EKG, phlebotomy, and basic lab testing
• Experience with patient intake, history documentation, and EMR systems
• Strong communication skills with children and families

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Experience in pediatric primary care or outpatient clinic settings

Job Description / Project

Join a Pediatric Primary Care clinic where you will support physicians and nurses in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing exam rooms, instruments, and supplies
• Rooming patients and recording vital signs and medical history
• Administering pediatric immunizations and assisting with procedures
• Performing EKG, phlebotomy, and lab testing
• Assisting with patient education and follow-up care
• Managing patient records, scheduling, and documentation in EMR
• Supporting front-office tasks including appointments and billing assistance
• Ensuring compliance with confidentiality and safety standards

Additional Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks
• Strong attention to detail and patient-focused approach
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric environment
