Job Description: Assistant Facilities Manager
Department: GITD - Maintenance
Reports To: GITD Facilities Director
Job Overview:
The Assistant Facilities Manager is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all commercial buildings and grounds related matters.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Maintain buildings and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion to insure a safe environment for all
· Inspect, monitor, troubleshoot and make necessary repairs as needed to maintain all mechanical items

· Write work orders for each job completed
· Oversee all outside contractors that may be working on-site
· Follow all safety guidelines
Qualifications:
· Diverse mechanical background in working in a industrial environment
· Ability to work in a very active laborer role which requires frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing for 8-hour workday
· Ability to use carts, forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and various other equipment
· Ability to tolerate bright lights, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes in the regular course of duty
· Must be able to tolerate various temperature settings and to work safely outdoors year round
· Attention to detail
· Ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors and co-workers
· Methodical approach to ensure consistent outcome
· Self-starter with the ability to identify new tasks
· Ability to work independently
· Strong organization skills
· Must be a Team Player – willing to help in areas outside of your job description
