Our Main Shelter is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year with professionals who truly care about the well-being of our guests. The Administrative Residential Support Staff perform various administrative tasks and direct client services. This full time, non-exempt position is onsite, primarily at our 540 West Hanover Ave, Morristown NJ residential shelter

Administrative Support & Facilities Oversight:
- Manage the front entrance and phone operations, and be accountable for various administrative tasks essential to the operations of this residential shelter
- Communicate internally and share information with partner agencies as instructed. Maintain records relating to clients and operations, and produce reports as requested by management.
Direct Client Services:
- Check guests in to shelter and keep accurate attendance.
- Conduct Drug & Alcohol Testing.
- Count and log guest medication.
- Assist Case Management with contraband searches as needed.
- Provide transportation to assigned locations in an agency van.
- Assist guests as needed and when requested by management.
Other responsibilities:
- Contact and communicate with first responders in the event of an emergency
- Exhibit strong personal accountability and awareness of and adherence to company standards, policies, procedures, and processes in all aspects of employment with HSI.
- Clearly communicate issues, concerns, or recommendations regarding clients or operational issues to Management and other staff.
- Be flexible and adaptive, respond professionally to evolving programmatic and facility needs, and offer support where needed for special projects and unexpected challenges.
- Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with guests and colleagues
- Perform regular basic cleaning protocols to facilitate a healthy physical environment.
Qualifications/Skills:
- HS Diploma Required; Associates degree or current education in related field preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
- Experience with residential settings / multi-dwelling housing facilities is preferred.
- Basic technological skills including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and provide basic equipment set up (printers, copiers/scanners, tvs and related equipment, computers and phones).
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with administrative functions and Microsoft Office software including Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to independently prioritize tasks and balance multiple priorities in a face paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience for autonomous and independent decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid NJ driver's license.

Full time permanent staff of Homeless Solutions are eligible to enroll in fully paid medical , dental and life insurance coverage plans in accordance with HSI policies. In addition, all staff are eligible immediately upon hiring to participate in a 401k retirement savings plan, including up to a 6% company paid match . Generous PTO plans include paid personal, vacation and sick leave as well as 10 floating holidays annually.
