Job Overview:
The PAS Specialty Appointments Coordinator is a critical role in ensuring patients and families receive optimal service and timely access to care.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate's degree
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in Epic and scheduling
- Proficiency with internet-based technologies including Microsoft office, data entry, and navigation of multiple applications
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full Time - Day
Essential Functions:
- Manages, coordinates and schedules specialty appointments and ensures designated slots are consistently filled with the right patient in the right slot
- Optimizes booked rates by collaborating directly with onsite leaders and clinical staff to coordinate schedules
- Screens patients to ensure correct service and collaborates with therapy leaders routinely to ensure the patients are placed in the right service within the clinically appropriate timeframes
- Supports customer service and promotes a positive patient experience by addressing the immediate scheduling concerns of patients and families
- Collaborates with outpatient clinical leaders and staff, PAS Managers and Directors of Outpatient Operations to maintain awareness of specialty therapy slots throughout all outpatient sites
- Schedules appointments and ensures that these slots have a high utilization rate with clinically appropriate patients
- Maintains assigned scheduling primary job function which includes obtaining accurate clinical information in order to make a sound judgment as to which services are required for the appointments
- Obtains intake information, including demographics, insurance information, referrals, and scripts timely and accurately
- Schedules appropriate appointments based on reason for referral and intake information,
