Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer with strong expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, SnowSQL, and Snowpipe to join our data engineering team in a fast-paced Banking/Financial domain environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and solutions using Snowflake Cloud Data Platform , along with a deep understanding of data management in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake , Python , and PySpark

• Create and manage Snowflake data warehouses , schemas , tables , and views

• Implement and manage data ingestion using Snowpipe , Kafka , or ETL/ELT tools

• Write complex SQL queries and use SnowSQL for data manipulation and automation

• Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements

• Optimize performance and cost efficiency of Snowflake workloads

• Ensure data quality, security, and governance standards are maintained

• Implement CI/CD for data workflows and pipelines using tools like Git , Airflow , or dbt

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug production data jobs and pipelines

• Work with large-scale structured and semi-structured data from banking/financial systems

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (Warehouse, Database, Schema, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks)

• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data engineering tasks

• Advanced SQL skills including performance tuning and query optimization

• Experience with SnowSQL for scripting and automation

• Knowledge of data ingestion patterns and ETL frameworks

• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Familiarity with data governance , data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, GLBA), and security best practices

• Exposure to CI/CD practices and version control systems like Git

• Strong analytical and communication skills
