We proudly offer three championship golf courses, available for play nearly every day of the year, along with award-winning practice facilities both indoors and outdoors. Our sports and leisure complex boasts impressive state-of-the-art aquatic facilities enjoyed by individuals of all ages, as well as tennis, paddle sports, fitness options, and The Cove, a mini club designed for children. Our elegant manor-style clubhouse features both casual and fine dining options, along with the finest banquet facilities in the area for galas, weddings, and social gatherings. We are looking for Pool Servers to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. Fiddler’s Elbow hosts a wide range of events from comedy shows and concerts to Fourth of July celebrations and New Year’s Eve festivities, our annual FiddleFest Music and Food Festival, Member White-Out Party, golf outings and sporting events. We also host smaller clubs within the Club, such as our beloved Book Club and Cigar Club. Our members host many private events like weddings, social events, and celebrations of life milestones.

The Pool Server is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to members and guests in our aquatic facility. This role includes the set up and break down of the deck, taking orders, serving drinks and meals, ensuring cleanliness of the pool area, and providing an overall positive member and guest experience. This is an outdoor based position that involves constant customer interaction and multi-tasking ability.

This position is eligible for a Seasonal Pool Retention Bonus! To be eligible for the bonus, the employee must:

Begin employment in May, Averages 25+ hours throughout the season AND works through Labor Day

If ALL criteria are met, the employee will receive a $500 retention bonus after Labor Day (standard taxes apply).

Essential Functions:

  • Attend pre-function and/or post-function meetings
  • Provide immediate attention to all Members & Guests
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally to Members, Guests and Colleagues.
  • Follow our technology practices, including use of iPads and the POS system- Club Essentials.
  • Possess ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Observe safety procedures during execution of assigned duties
  • Adhere to the service procedures to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience from start to finish.
  • Engage with guests to understand their needs, preferences, and requests.
  • Offer personalized solutions to any issues/complaints within the given guidelines.
  • Ensure the Deck Configuration and Side-Work Procedures are completed.
  • Demonstrate ability to accurately describe and answer questions regarding menu items, specials, and alcoholic offerings.
  • Accurately enter customer orders, ensuring all details are captured correctly for transmittal to kitchen.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, professional, and friendly manner
  • Check in with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their meals, beverages, and overall experience, offering additional items or assistance as needed
  • Assist in cleaning up dining areas, including clearing plates and resetting tables to maintain a tidy, welcoming environment.
  • Ensure cleanliness of operation by Washing, Scrubbing, Wiping, or picking up objects/items.
  • Follow food safety and cleanliness guidelines to maintain a safe, hygienic environment for both guests and staff.
  • Wash & Sanitize Equipment as needed including but not limited to Lounge Chairs, Garbage Bins, Tables or Chairs.
  • Assist in maintaining and replenishing inventory, supplies, fruit/garnishes.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations and Fiddlers Elbow policies.
  • Comply with all food and beverage procedures for handling and storing items in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Assist in other duties such as Cove or Towel Attendant as needed/assigned by Supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous serving experience is preferred but not a must

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our members and guests.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry trays/objects weighing up 30+ pounds through a crowded room
  • Ability to handle many tasks at once
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe and lift to perform job functions
  • Must be a team player; possess the ability to collaborate and work well with others

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environments
  • Must be able to work day and/or night hours, occasional long hours, weekends and holidays

Safety Hazards:

  • General food and beverage environment with some exposure to heat from cooking areas
  • Lifting of heavy objects such as kegs, cases of beer, bottled water, Gatorades etc.,
  • Handling of sharp objects such as flatware
