Essential Duties
- Perform initial evaluations and progress evaluations.
- Perform Splint evaluations and manufacture/ issue the clinically appropriate splint/ device.
- Provide patient treatment as indicated.
- Develop plan of care for each patient.
- Provide Home Exercise Program (HEP) for each individual patient.
- Perform daily documentation for each patient visit within the time frame specified by departmental policy.
- Provide patient reassessments for insurance companies and physicians.
- Attend departmental meetings as scheduled.
- Direct therapy aides.
- Work with therapy reception staff to ensure timely filing of documentation and proper scheduling of patients.
- Complete all discharge summaries of each patient within the time frame specified by department.
- Establish goals and objectives for each patient.
- Complete all necessary requirements to maintain current CHT certification/ credentials.
- Complete all required Continuing Education Units (CEU's) to maintain primary therapy license.
- Confers with members of therapy staff and other health team members, individually and in conference, to exchange, discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.
- Manages caseload accordingly with regards to intensity, demand, and frequency.
- Participate in marketing and community outreach efforts.
- Perform other duties as requested/directed.

Must possess current, valid Certified Hand Therapist credentials as issued by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission
