Press Machine Operator
Our client, a flexible packaging production company, is looking for an experienced Press Machine Operator to join their team.
The operator will be responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining flexographic or gravure printing presses to produce high-quality poly film and packaging materials according to customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate flexographic or gravure printing presses for poly film production.
- Prepare inks, plates, cylinders, and substrates according to job requirements.
- Monitor print quality and make adjustments to maintain color consistency and registration.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot press issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Record production data, including material usage and machine settings.
- Collaborate with quality control to meet customer specifications and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1year experience operating flexographic or gravure presses in flexible packaging or poly industry.
- Knowledge of ink systems, color matching, and press mechanics.
- Ability to read job tickets and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Quality control awareness
- Time management and teamwork
- Manufacturing floor with exposure to inks, solvents, and moving machinery.
Location: Teaneck NJ
Salary: $70K
