About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer in Technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT).
This candidate will support the technology CCIBT Platform Engineering Group. This role will support the platform for Observability & Reliability Engineering enabling production support teams of multiple critical applications.

In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
- Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
- Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
- Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
- Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of experience in Production Support, with focus on Java based applications
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting environments across the entire ecosystem (i.e. applications to infrastructure), identifying root cause, fixing, and documenting problems, and implementing preventive measures
- 2+ years of experience with scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, Groovy)
- 2+ years of experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience in an SRE role or similar capacity with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with automating manual tasks
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly articulate technical concepts
Ability to quickly acquire system/domain knowledge and become a platform SME
Knowledge of ServiceNow, OS (Windows/Unix), DBs (SQL/Oracle), deployment tools (UCD/Harness), load-balancing solutions (AVI/AG/F5), network communications, cloud systems (PCF, OCP, Azure, GCP) and other technologies such as Tomcat/Kafka/MQ/FTP/NDM
Good understanding and hands-on experience with different monitoring/logging tools and responding to alerts to take the necessary actions to fix the issue
1+ years of Banking experience
Experience in Wire Payments flow, and ACH payment processing is nice to have
