ER RN Job Details – Wichita, KS

• Location: Wichita, KS 67214 (Kansas healthcare job)
• Facility: Large, modern 52-bed Emergency Department
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks, with potential extension
• Start Date: September 1, 2025
• End Date: December 1, 2025
• Shift Options: 12-hour shifts (7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 3p-3a)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (large facility experience preferred)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• Strong IV start, medication administration, and pediatric care skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a busy Emergency Room setting
• Perform IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including physicians, advanced practice providers, techs, and unit clerks
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech EMR
• Follow all safety and infection control protocols, including patient and medication scanning
• Support a positive patient experience and contribute to a diverse, energetic healthcare team
