Stephen Swank is the Founder and President of Blue Banana Properties LLC, a prominent, multi-pronged real estate firm with national reach. Stephen began acquiring properties shortly after graduating from the University of Washington in 1988. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance and an emphasis in Real Estate, following a stint in insurance sales, he began working for a real-estate developer in King County, Washington assisting as a Home Inspector. In 1994, Stephen began purchasing properties at the courthouse steps via Trustee Sales on homes that were going into foreclosure. Since then, he has purchased, sold, and brokered over 1,000 properties predominantly in South Florida alongside his wife and a small team of dedicated, incisive decisionmakers, with additional operations in the purchase and resale of NPLs in Washington, California, and Texas. BBP's current focus is the acquisition of residential properties with the objective of expanding into the Northeast, spearheaded by our Director of Sales, Xun Zhu. This internship offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience within the dynamic world of real estate under the guidance of our team of seasoned realty experts.

Responsibilities

As a Property Sales Field Assistant at Blue Banana Properties, you will work closely with our Director of Sales, assisting in various aspects of brokerage operations.

Listing and Transaction Support: Assist in preparing property listings, coordinating transactions, and managing documentation to ensure smooth real estate transactions for our clients

Property Showings: Driving to property showings, accompanying real estate agents and contractors, learning the art of showcasing properties and understanding client needs, conducting in-house property appraisals

Market Insights: Assist in generating reports and presentations that summarize market insights and trends for internal and client-facing purposes

Qualifications

Minimum second year college student or recent college graduate with a degree in Real Estate or Business
No experience needed
Passion for the real estate industry and a strong desire to learn from experienced professionals
Ability to interact with individuals at multiple levels within an organization
Maintaining a professional demeanor
Ability to learn and grow independently and as part of a team
Exposure to various facets of the real estate industry, proactive in client interactions, transaction coordination, and market analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office - plus ability to learn new systems
Strong organizational skills
Detail oriented
Willingness to collaborate
