Job Title: Staff Pharmacist

Location: Edison, NJ, 08818

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (High Possibility of Extension)

Shifts Available:

• 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

• 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Compensation: $2,200 – $2,800 weekly gross

• Ensure full compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmaceutical practices.

• Accurately handle, secure, and document drug products including controlled substances and investigational medications.

• Review and dispense medication orders while identifying and resolving potential safety or efficacy concerns.

• Monitor patient drug therapies for potential allergies, drug interactions, and adverse reactions.

• Prepare IV medications, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and chemotherapy admixtures using aseptic technique.

• Conduct regular inspections of medication storage units for compliance and emergency preparedness.

• Supervise and provide guidance to Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants/Couriers.

• Adhere to safe medication practices and internal pharmacy protocols.

• Perform physical tasks such as lifting (minimum 10 lbs), pushing/pulling (minimum 40 lbs), and prolonged standing (4+ hours daily).

• Deliver patient-centered care that is culturally sensitive and responsive to individual patient needs.

• Demonstrate consistent adherence to organizational competencies and standards.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting

• Experience and training in chemotherapy review and sterile preparation

• Proficiency in unit dose medication dispensing, aseptic techniques, and pharmacy-related software systems

• Active and valid New Jersey Pharmacist License
