Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Cloud Migration Program Manager to lead large‑scale infrastructure and application migration initiatives. This role focuses on Data Center Exit, Lift‑and‑Shift, and phased modernization programs to Microsoft Azure, requiring strong governance, technical depth, and executive‑level stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Migration Leadership

• Lead end‑to‑end infrastructure and cloud migration programs , including:
  • Data Center (DC) Exit
  • Lift‑and‑Shift migrations
  • Phased modernization to Microsoft Azure
• Own program governance including scope, timelines, cost, risks, dependencies, and communications across multiple workstreams.

Azure Migration Execution

• Coordinate the migration of:
  • Applications
  • Databases
  • Middleware
  • Azure VMs
  • Azure SQL
  • AKS
  • Storage and Networking
• Oversee migration cutover planning, execution, and post‑migration stabilization.

Cross‑Functional Coordination

• Drive coordination across:
  • Cloud engineering
  • Security
  • Networking
  • Application teams
  • Database teams
  • DevOps teams
• Ensure seamless readiness, migration, and cutover across all impacted teams.

Resiliency, Security & Compliance

• Oversee disaster recovery (DR) strategy , resiliency testing, security controls, and compliance requirements during migration.
• Ensure alignment with Azure governance standards and enterprise security frameworks.

DevOps & Automation Alignment

• Ensure adherence to modern engineering practices:
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Infrastructure automation
  • DevOps standards and controls
• Support cloud readiness assessments and application replatforming strategies.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage vendors and partners, tracking milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Provide executive‑level reporting , risk tracking, and mitigation plans.
• Engage effectively with senior business and technology leaders .

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years in Program Management or large‑scale project leadership .
• Proven experience leading:
  • Data Center Exit initiatives
  • Lift‑and‑Shift migrations
  • On‑prem to Azure cloud migrations
• Strong hands‑on understanding of Azure infrastructure:
  • Virtual Machines (VMs)
  • Networking
  • Storage
  • Identity & Security
  • AKS
• Experience with:
  • Application migration patterns
  • Replatforming strategies
  • Cloud readiness assessments
• Familiarity with:
  • DevOps tooling and automation
  • Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform or ARM preferred)
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
