Pay Range: $145,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the department by supervising and directing staff. Responsible for overseeing workflow and processes to ensure that the department operates efficiently and according to established policies, performance standards and state and federal regulations. Acts as a resource to staff in the completion of their duties. Assists the Pharmacy Director and Assistant Director in the performance of his or her duties.
Qualification
Required:
- BS or Pharm D in Pharmacy and current NJ pharmacy license required; minimum three years of hospital pharmacy experience with at least one year of hospital supervisory experience.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills required.
Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):
- Proficient in IV additives, chemo, order processing, computer.

Essential Functions:
- Pharmacy Operations
- Supervises, directs, and coordinates specific areas of the Pharmacy department and assures compliance with hospital, regulatory, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Provides staff education prior to implementation of new processes and procedures.
- Plans and effectively implements departmental projects.
- Resolves routine problems arising within the department and interacts with other departments as required.
- Demonstrates proficiency in use of hospital and pharmacy information systems.
- Pharmacy Personnel
- Assists with completion of staff performance evaluations.
- Assists in the recruitment, selection, and retention of pharmacy personnel.
- Oversees orientation and training of new employees.
- Performs other duties as requested.
- Quality Assurance and Safety
- Develops, maintains, and enforces completion of department quality assurance documentation i,e.
- temperature logs, floor check logs, etc.
- Develops, administers, and maintains results of employee competencies, when required.
- Participates in Quality Improvement activities, as requested.
- Participates on hospital committees as requested, and shares information with the department.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Assists with successful complete all regulatory surveys by governmental or accreditation agencies.
- Updates all policies and procedures to comply with new or revised standards or regulations, when required.
