As a Security Officer - Government Site - Weekends in Trenton, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, working to maintain a secure environment while remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious behaviors and report observations according to established protocols.
• Assist with controlling access to restricted areas as required by site policy.
• Collaborate with public officials, staff, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner while performing security-related duties.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and/or observed activities.
• Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while on duty to help to deter potential risks and support the security-related objectives of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a minimum of three years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Hold a valid armed guard card or license as required by state, county, or city regulations.
• Possess a valid New Jersey Retired Police Officer certificate if required by the role.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
