Fluid Systems Fabrication & TIG Welding Technician

At Control Associates and our subsidiary Electronic Power Design (EPD), your work will help keep communities running and support life-saving technologies. For more than 45 years, EPD has delivered industrial control panels and skids that perform flawlessly in the field — from managing natural gas distribution in NYC to supporting advanced healthcare equipment.

Your impact

• Own the build: interpret intricate P&IDs and assemble industrial control/electrical panels to spec
• Fabricate skids and piping racks used in mission-critical industrial environments
• Assemble stainless tubing (.035–.049 wall), apply compression fittings, and transition across materials and schedules with confidence
• Weld as needed — approximately 20% of your time focused on TIG root passes
• Work across pipe wall thicknesses (Schedule 10 through Schedule 160), plus PVC Schedule 80 and CPVC

Is this you?

• 3+ years assembling industrial control panels
• Fluent in reading and applying complex P&ID drawings and blueprints
• Expert with precision hand tools; experienced with stainless panels, PVC, and CPVC
• Demonstrated TIG welding proficiency
• Comfortable lifting up to 65 lbs; able to handle physical tasks with roughly 30% of your day standing
• Fast learner with a short ramp to mastering process, deliverables, and pace
• Background in Construction, Mechanics, Fluid Handling, and/or Pneumatics (preferred)

Technical fluency

• Electrical/electronic systems and industrial electrical knowledge
• Electrical schematics and blueprint literacy
• Pneumatics familiarity
• Production-ready welding setups
• Mechanical assembly and strong communication

Work environment

• Location: Bloomingdale, NJ (100% on-site)
• Schedule: 7:00 AM start time
• Status: Full-time
• Tools: TIG Welder and Power Tools
