We’re looking for a Custodial Team Member to help uphold the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall condition of our facility, supporting our teams across office, cultivation, and manufacturing areas.

Role Summary:
This role will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of Glass Meadows' office, cultivation, and manufacturing departments. This entry-level position is responsible for ensuring all areas of the facility meet strict cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance standards to support a safe and efficient workplace. This position will work closely with team members across departments to uphold environmental hygiene standards in a highly regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in office spaces, cultivation areas, and manufacturing zones.
- Sanitation Protocols: Follow strict sanitation procedures for cultivation and manufacturing areas to maintain compliance with industry and company standards, including cleaning equipment, walls, and floors using approved cleaning solutions.
- Facility Garments & Sanitation Materials: Support the collection, laundering, and proper handling of facility garments (e.g., lab coats, uniforms) and sanitation materials to maintain hygiene standards and ensure availability for staff use.
- Waste Management: Collect and properly dispose of office, cultivation, and manufacturing waste, including the segregation and handling of organic waste as required by company and state regulations.
- Restroom Maintenance: Ensure all restrooms are cleaned, stocked, and maintained for staff and visitor use.
- Deep Cleaning: Conduct periodic deep cleaning of high-traffic and specialized areas, including windows, HVAC vents, and other facility equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain custodial equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and safely stored.
- Inventory and Supplies: Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report restocking needs to the Facility Manager.
- Compliance and Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of cleaning schedules and sanitation practices to comply with regulatory and company standards.
- Support Across Departments: Assist with event setups, special cleaning requests, and emergency cleanup needs as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning and sanitation practices in industrial, office, or regulated environments is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow strict cleaning protocols and schedules.
- Capable of working in physically demanding environments, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and adapt to the specific cleaning needs of each department.
- Compliance with legal and company regulations for working in a cannabis facility.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including humid cultivation areas and temperature-controlled manufacturing zone.
- Must be at least 21 years old to comply with state regulations
- Willingness to undergo background checks, fingerprinting and able to obtain ID badging clearance per New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ CRC) terms
