Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Patrol Driver Response in Edgewater, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post offers the opportunity to support residents and guests through strong communication and customer service, while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.60 / Hour

- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or local first responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, observe for unauthorized access, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
- Complete required logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and relay important updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or the next officer during shift changes.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
