Program Assistant - Residential DSP Services

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with disabilities by providing safe, supportive, and meaningful daily experiences throughout Ocean County. Flexible scheduling options are available, along with opportunities for overtime.

We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time positions across several residential locations, including Brick, Barnegat, Toms River, Lakewood, Jackson, Lacey, and Beachwood.

Schedule: Evening shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM), with weekend availability required. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Pay: $20.20–$24.20 per hour, with shift differentials, bi-weekly pay, and eligibility for overtime.

Description

The Arc Ocean County Chapter is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work in residential settings, including group homes, supervised apartments, and supported living programs across Ocean County, supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities include providing in-home support and direct care such as assistance with personal hygiene, medication administration, daily living tasks, and meal preparation. Additional duties involve completing accurate electronic documentation and supporting a range of individualized needs to promote health, safety, and independence.

Previous experience welcomed, not required!

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing, with no more than 5 points
• Demonstrated work stability, with at least one year of tenure at a previous employer preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be able to successfully complete all required background checks and screening processes in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements
