We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Princeton, New Jersey. As a key member of the accounting department, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

• Execute month-end closing procedures in a timely and efficient manner.

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data.

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.

• Monitor and track capital expenditures (CapEx) to ensure proper accounting treatment.

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analyses as required.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data promptly.

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.

• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

• Solid understanding of month-end close processes and financial reporting.

• Experience managing accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.

• Familiarity with accounting for capital expenditures (CapEx).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
