Production Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and manage production staff during assigned shifts while ensuring a safe and efficient operation. The role involves mentoring team members, maintaining quality and safety standards, and driving continuous process improvements. Cross-training employees and implementing strategies to enhance productivity are also key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employee safety and high-quality production by providing proper equipment training, enforcing safety rules, maintaining documentation, following GMP protocols, and adhering to procedures and government standards in coordination with the Quality Assurance department.
• Monitor and maintain efficient production by reporting food safety and quality issues, performing hourly audits, ensuring lines run at target throughput, and implementing action plans to reduce downtime and improve yield.
• Manage production and employee schedules to ensure proper staffing, minimize rework, monitor yields, implement corrective actions, and build team capability through coaching, training, and effective communication.
• Plan and conduct cross-training, ensure accurate daily reporting of key metrics, train new employees on machinery and procedures, and regularly evaluate equipment to maintain maximum efficiency.
• Address repair issues promptly, maintain a clean and safe work environment, support cost-saving initiatives, ensure open communication across all levels, enforce safety and company policies, and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting or a comparable role
• Strong communication skills
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule
• Proven success working in dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environments
• Familiarity with production operations, safety protocols, and food quality standards is preferred
• Strong leadership qualities with effective interpersonal skills
• Highly driven and capable of working independently
• Solid math, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong collaboration skills across various levels of the organization
• Ability to proactively address and prevent food safety, quality, and production issues
• Skilled in coaching team members and delivering clear guidance
• Well-versed in production planning and scheduling
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Must be willing to work weekends as needed by the company
