A rapidly expanding bakery café restaurant concept is seeking an experienced Vice President of IT to lead the strategic vision, implementation, and oversight of all technology systems across the organization. With aggressive national growth plans and a strong focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences, this leadership role will ensure that all technology platforms support operational excellence, scalability, and innovation.
The Vice President of IT will oversee the development of enterprise technology strategies, manage critical infrastructure, and lead initiatives related to POS systems, digital ordering, loyalty platforms, and back-office solutions. This role will also drive cybersecurity strategy, vendor partnerships, and technology innovation to support a fast-growing restaurant brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all IT systems supporting a multi-unit bakery café restaurant concept.
- Oversee deployment and integration of POS platforms, digital ordering systems, loyalty programs, and other restaurant technology solutions while ensuring minimal operational disruption.
- Develop and execute long-term IT roadmaps that support company growth, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies that enhance the guest experience and improve operational performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers; negotiate contracts and manage performance to ensure solutions align with company needs and budgets.
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of all network systems and technology infrastructure.
- Lead cybersecurity strategy, implementing robust frameworks to protect company and customer data while ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
- Oversee data governance, including policies for secure collection, storage, analysis, and reporting to support data-driven decision making.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to IT teams, fostering a high-performing and collaborative technology organization.
- Ensure systems availability, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement across all IT platforms.
- Support new restaurant openings, technology rollouts, and infrastructure expansion during periods of rapid growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Progressive leadership experience in IT within a multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, or retail environment , preferably in fast-paced, high-growth brands.
- Proven track record leading large-scale systems implementations and technology transformations.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant technology platforms including POS systems, digital ordering, loyalty platforms, and back-office solutions.
- Demonstrated experience managing technology vendors, strategic partnerships, and complex IT infrastructure.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and executive communication skills.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing IT teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
