Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate with extensive experience in public accounting. This role requires exceptional client service, leadership, and technical tax skills to manage and oversee multiple engagements, ensuring the highest quality of service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Prepare and review complex business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Provide expert tax review and planning services, specifically for complex individual tax returns (1040s), including employee stock option reporting, multi-state taxation, Schedule C, Single Member LLC, and complex K-1s and brokerage statements.
- Utilize tax software tools such Ultratax and Quickbooks
- Develop and maintain outstanding client relationships through exceptional service and communication skills.
- Manage multiple tax engagements, ensuring projects are completed accurately and on time.
- Identify tax issues and planning opportunities, providing strategic advice to clients.
- Represent the firm professionally in all client interactions, demonstrating strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Maintain strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
-Assist partners with reviewing tax returns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- CPA is preferable but not required.
- 7+ years of experience in the tax department of a public accounting firm.
- At least 2 years of detailed tax review experience.
- Preferable experience with Ultratax, Quickbooks, and Microsoft products.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
