NDT Level III - Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (Trainee or Experienced)
ElyoniX is recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace and gas turbine manufacturer seeking either an experienced Level III or a qualified Level III Trainee (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) to support high-compliance production and quality operations. This position is structured to align with the candidate's certification level and experience. Experienced Level III professionals will provide primary technical leadership, audit support, and oversight of inspection processes. Qualified Level III Trainees will work closely with the Primary Level III, supporting audits, technique development, and compliance activities while continuing to perform hands-on production NDT duties.
Essential Job Functions
Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform daily system, equipment, and process checks within the assigned NDT area
- Ensure NDT inspection results meet established product acceptance criteria
- Ensure NDT processes comply with applicable customer, industry, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor inspection equipment availability and assist with maintenance of equipment, fixtures, and tooling
- Support manufacturing operations by performing Level I and Level II inspection duties as needed
- Interpret specifications, standards, and engineering drawings under the guidance of the Primary Level III
- Participate in and support internal, external, and customer audits
- Support Level I and Level II audits to verify product conformity and process compliance, including audits conducted during off-shifts or overtime as required
- Assist in training, coaching, and monitoring proficiency of Level I and Level II NDT inspectors (OJT and technical training)
- Under the guidance of the Primary Level III, assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining NDT procedures and processes to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation and records for assigned NDT methods
- Complete Secondary Level III training per an established development plan
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Primary Level III and/or Quality leadership
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Experience in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection
- Ability to meet and successfully pass Level III testing and certification requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, with minimal advance notice
