Building Maintenance Worker

Command Robbinsville is seeking a Building Maintenance Worker to join our growing Maintenance team for day shift (6 AM - 3 PM) with flexibility. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
The Building Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks to ensure the safe, efficient, and well-maintained operation of the printing facility. This includes maintaining building systems, performing routine repairs, assisting with equipment upkeep, and supporting a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general building maintenance including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify areas that need addressing and bring to the attention on the Facilities Supervisor.
- Support production equipment maintenance by assisting maintenance technicians as needed.
- Ensure facility safety systems (fire extinguishers, emergency exits, sprinklers, alarms) are functional and compliant.
- Maintain lighting systems, change filters, replace fixtures, and make minor repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and supervisors.
- Assist in maintaining grounds, parking areas, and building exteriors.
- Monitor and maintain tools, supplies, and equipment in proper working condition.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Work closely with maintenance technicians, production staff, and supervisors to address facility and equipment needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Provide support to other departments as required to maintain smooth facility operations.
- Foster a cooperative and respectful work environment by demonstrating professionalism and reliability.
- Provide support during facility renovations, equipment moves, or special projects.
- Other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in building or facility maintenance, preferably in an industrial environment.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/printing facility with exposure to noise, ink/chemicals, and moving machinery.
- May require overtime, weekends, and on-call availability depending on production needs.
