Job Title: School Psychologist (Full-Time, Onsite)
Location: Orange, New Jersey
Start Date: September 2025
End Date: June 2026
Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:15 AM 3:15 PM (35 hours per week)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in the Orange Public School District for the 20252026 academic year. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting a K12 caseload . The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in school-based psychological services and be skilled in both testing and evaluations . This role requires extensive experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders , and the ability to provide professional insight and support to multidisciplinary teams, students, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and behavioral assessments across K12 student populations
Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological and academic testing instruments
Participate in Child Study Team (CST) meetings, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, and student support planning
Provide professional recommendations to support educational programming and behavioral interventions
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, specialists, and parents to support student academic and social-emotional development
Contribute to district-level planning and decision-making regarding special education services
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with state and district regulations
Required Qualifications:
Active and valid New Jersey School Psychologist certification No pending licensures will be accepted
Extensive school-based experience , ideally across a diverse range of student needs
Demonstrated expertise in Autism and related evaluations/interventions
Proficiency in both cognitive and achievement testing tools, behavioral analysis, and functional assessments
Reliable transportation to travel between school sites within the district (if required)
Ability to manage a flexible, district-determined caseload in compliance with NJ state guidelines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with school teams and families
Client-Specific Requirements (Pre-Employment):
Must complete both agency and district fingerprinting
Proof of recent TB test
Current physical examination documentation
