About Us
Zac’s Restaurant Holdings operates a growing portfolio of quick-service restaurants, including Popeyes, Halal Guys, and Zac’s Burgers. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team and help maintain accurate financial records across our multi-unit operations.
Job Overview
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring financial accuracy across all restaurant locations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in financial record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations – Reconcile daily transactions, deposits, and expenses across multiple restaurant locations.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable – Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and manage collections as needed.
- Financial Reporting – Assist in preparing P&L statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports for management review.
- Payroll Reconciliation – Work closely with HR to verify payroll records and ensure accurate payment processing.
- Expense Tracking & Cost Control – Monitor operational expenses and identify discrepancies.
- Sales Reconciliation – Cross-check daily sales reports from restaurant POS systems against bank deposits and accounting records.
- Tax & Compliance Support – Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings by preparing necessary documentation for accountants.
- General Ledger Maintenance – Ensure accurate coding and posting of transactions in accounting software.
- Audit Preparation – Maintain organized financial records to support internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience , preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Experience with POS system reconciliations (Toast, Revel, NCR, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple restaurant locations in financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
