Heavy Equipment Operator
Seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support construction, excavation, and site development projects. This role involves safely operating various types of heavy machinery, performing routine equipment checks, and collaborating with field teams to ensure efficient project execution.
Responsibilities- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, and backhoes safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with field teams to meet project specifications and timelines.
- Read and interpret site plans and grades to follow project specifications accurately.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and OSHA standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and maintain a strong focus on teamwork.
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, skid steers, and backhoes.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Ability to read site plans and grades and follow project specifications.
- Skill in equipment inspection, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Reliable communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong situational awareness and hazard recognition.
- Valid operator certifications or licenses as required by state/local regulations.
- Experience working on commercial, residential, or municipal job sites.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and terrain.
- Mechanical aptitude for minor repairs.
- Strong work ethic and punctuality.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and perform necessary tasks.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
