JAVA DEVELOPER

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design and code from specifications, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software apps
• Uses coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality
• Participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of hardware and software solutions
• Perform project management of estimating, scheduling, and monitoring tasks
• Performs expert-level engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, and development of application software design.
• Research/analyze data processing functions, methods and procedures
• Monitor program execution for expected performance

Job Requirements:

• Candidates for this position should possess a Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
  5+ years experience in Java development and support.
  5+ years experience in Oracle database. Ability to write PL/SQL and strong knowledge on database tuning.
• 5+ years experience on UNIX environment. Ability to build Apache server with Oracle and PHP.
• 3+ years experience on Java Swing, GWT, and Web Service.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java 1.5+, Java Swing, JDBC, Hibernate, and Threading model.
• Strong knowledge of web related technologies including GWT, Web Service, XML, HTML, CSS, and Tomcat.
• Strong knowledge of Eclipse IDE and Tomcat application server.
• Familiar with SDLC and source code controls, especially Subversion.
• Familiar with FCC ULS database.
• Familiar with FCC ASR database.

Plus:

• Comfortable with UNIX scripting, ANT, PHP, and PERL.
• Strong knowledge on design pattern to develop middleware
• Familiar with Telecom industry and/or Wireless technologies.
• Leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiar with regulatory license and compliance for wireless industry.
