Job Summary

The Packaging/Boxing Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently packaging and boxing modular closet components for shipment. This role ensures that all products are securely packed to prevent damage during transit and that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Packaging:
    • Carefully pack and box modular closet components according to company standards and customer requirements.
    • Use appropriate packing materials and techniques to ensure products are protected during shipment.
    • Label boxes accurately with product information and shipping details.
  • Order Fulfillment:
    • Verify packing slips and ensure that all items are included in each order.
    • Collaborate with the order picking and shipping teams to ensure orders are completed and dispatched on time.
    • Double-check orders for accuracy and quality before finalizing for shipment.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect products for any defects or damage before packaging.
    • Report any quality issues to the Warehouse Manager and follow established procedures for handling damaged products.
    • Maintain high standards of packaging quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of packaging materials.
    • Notify the Warehouse Manager of low stock levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
  • Safety and Cleanliness:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Maintain a clean and organized packaging area, free of hazards.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure smooth operations.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of packaged orders and any issues encountered.
    • Assist in documenting any discrepancies or damaged goods during the packaging process.
Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in packaging or a related role in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Good organizational and time management skills.
    • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
    • Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
    • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions within the warehouse.
