Shipping and Receiving Professional/Coordinator

A Shipping and Receiving Professional is responsible for maintaining the flow of goods in and out of a facility. This role ensures that incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and recorded, while outgoing orders are properly packaged, labeled, and shipped on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping, receiving, damages, discrepancies and returns.
- Report and resolve any shipment discrepancies or damages
- Receive, inspect, and verify out going shipments against Sales Orders.
- Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to ensure timely pick up of outgoing shipments.
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to Company and carrier requirements.
§ UPS/FedEx: small package shipping
§ LTL Truck: pallet ground shipping
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hazard-free shipping/receiving area.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Attention to detail, accuracy and follow-up with Company team members and Vendors.
- Basic computer skills. Prior inventory management/warehouse skills beneficial.
- Ability to lift and move packages as required. Prior Forklift training and operation beneficial.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to work closely with Production, Inventory Management and Customer Service.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving or warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Hazardous Shipping Certification beneficial, but not required.
