Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacist position is available for an 8-week contract in a long-term care (LTC) mail order environment. This role offers daytime hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional weekend shifts possible. The position is located in the Vineland, NJ area and requires a licensed pharmacist with relevant pharmacy experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify any over-usage patterns.
• Ensure all medications dispensed comply with legal regulations.
• Verify that prescribed medications are appropriate and safe for patients.
• Maintain confidential, accurate records of patients and pharmacy operations.
• Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, storage, and drug interactions.
• Deliver additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications for internal and external use, preparing sterile solutions as needed.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure smooth operation.
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify and resolve drug-related patient issues.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Current license from the state pharmacy board.
• Pharmacy experience required; long-term care experience highly preferred.
• Experience working in New Jersey pharmacies is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with healthcare teams.
