A Day in the Life of the Vice President, Commercial Product & Process:

The Vice President of Commercial Product and Advanced Services provide strategic leadership for the development, lifecycle management, and operational excellence of Astound Business Solutions’ commercial product portfolio.

This role oversees Product Management, Project Management, and specialized Advanced Services product support teams, with responsibility for shaping the commercial product strategy, optimizing business operations, and driving cross-functional execution to support growth initiatives. Strong collaboration across sales, engineering, operations, and other internal teams is essential to successfully deliver products, streamline processes, and enhance overall performance.

The position also leads a team responsible for customer configuration and advanced technical support for cloud hosting, SD‑WAN, managed Wi‑Fi, custom UCaaS integrations, and other managed services. This team provides internal enablement and customer training, serves as a subject-matter expert resource across the organization, and supports complex ICBs, managed services deployments, and the introduction of new products and services.

  • Direct and drive the execution of product strategy, vision, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Own managed services processes, including complex order acceptance, customer onboarding, configuration changes, and ongoing support.
  • Partner closely with engineering leadership to translate product strategy into clear, actionable requirements, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept through launch, delivering products on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and messaging that resonate with target customers.
  • Monitor product performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze results, and continuously refine product strategy to achieve business goals.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to design and implement scalable operational strategies that support the growth and long-term success of Astound Business Solutions.
  • Partner with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective budget management, and cost optimization.
  • Lead and manage support functions aligned to product strategy and project management, ensuring consistent execution and accountability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee project management and execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring milestones are achieved on schedule and within budget.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders to drive operational excellence and business outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities for business growth, market expansion, and new product offerings.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development for product and project management teams.
  • Manage integration initiatives related to company acquisitions, ensuring alignment across systems, processes, and teams.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities, including performance management, workload distribution, employee development, coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated expertise in documenting complex business requirements and collaborating cross‑functionally to translate them into clear, actionable functional specifications.
  • Proven ability to independently lead and deliver integration initiatives from inception through completion.
  • Strong capability to partner with Product and Marketing teams to successfully plan and execute new product launches.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • High degree of discretion, sound judgment, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Experience working closely with Sales organizations to identify, develop, and deliver new revenue opportunities.
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while remaining deliberate, forward‑thinking, and solution‑oriented.
  • Self‑aware and intellectually curious, with the maturity to balance a sense of humor with accountability to the team, our products, and our customers.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project or similar), Google Workspace (Gmail and G‑Suite), Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Microsoft Copilot and other AI-powered productivity tools. Demonstrated ability to stay current with emerging AI technologies and advancements and apply them effectively to improve productivity and decision-making.
  • Ability to adhere to Local and Federal regulations, as well as Company policies.

Requirements & Qualifications Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent professional experience .

E xpe ri ence :

  • A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in product and operational leadership roles.
  • At least five years of senior management experience within business operat i ons.

Base Salary: The base salary range for this position is $200,000- $240,000 annually, plus opportunities for bonus and benefits, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
