Client Experience & Growth Director

Better Talent
Cherry Hill, NJ

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

We are a growing private-pay mental health practice seeking a Client Experience & Growth Director to help expand our reach in the community. This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, passionate about healing work, and energized by people and connection. We are looking for someone who believes in the power of therapy, understands how much access matters, and wants to help others find comfort, hope, and healing.

This position is deeply relational. The core mission is to fill therapists' caseloads and grow our clinical team by establishing strategic referral relationships and recruiting aligned professionals into the practice. You’ll work alongside our leadership team, marketing vendors, and community partners to ensure that our practice is known, trusted, and well-connected throughout the region.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Are you a highly outgoing, strategic, and results-driven marketing professional who thrives on building relationships, making connections, and driving business growth?

If you're the kind of person who loves meeting people, thrives at networking events, and gets excited about making meaningful connections that lead to business success, this might be the perfect role for you. You are a natural go-getter—someone who doesn’t wait for opportunities but creates them. You see marketing as a mission—a way to connect people with the support and services they truly need.

We are expanding, and we need a dynamic, highly motivated Client Experience & Growth Director to lead and execute our growth strategy.

This isn’t just about marketing—it’s about people, relationships, and impact. We need someone who can walk into a room full of strangers and leave with meaningful connections. Someone who loves engaging on social media and knows how to leverage digital marketing tools to drive real growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Community Engagement & Referral Development

  • Represent the practice in the community through active networking and outreach.
  • Attend events, visit local businesses, and build long-term referral relationships.
  • Identify and nurture 1:1 connections that lead to client referrals.
  • Stay connected to local trends and needs in mental health care.

Therapist Recruitment Support

  • Develop relationships with universities and clinical training programs.
  • Attend career fairs and host informational sessions to attract new talent.
  • Support the recruitment of therapists who align with our mission and values.
  • Guide new therapists through the transition into our practice.

Marketing, Client Experience, and Practice Growth

  • Oversee all marketing channels (email, web, social, print) to ensure aligned, value-driven messaging that resonates with ideal clients
  • Lead campaigns to expand visibility, evaluate ROI, and refine outreach strategies
  • Supervise the intake team to ensure quality, timeliness, and professionalism in client onboarding
  • Optimize onboarding systems and review client-therapist matches for best alignment
  • Collaborate with the Owner/CEO on strategic initiatives, growth planning, and therapist satisfaction
  • Lead quarterly reviews of client and staff satisfaction, retention trends, and service gaps
  • Foster a connected, mission-aligned culture that supports long-term growth and engagement

Vendor Collaboration & Marketing Coordination

  • Coordinate efforts with our Google Ads, SEO, social media, and website contractors to ensure consistency and alignment with our growth goals.
  • Help ensure all marketing communications reflect our mission, values, and voice.
  • Track data on new client referrals, therapist onboarding, and outreach activity.

You’re a Great Fit If You:

  • Thrive in social environments and love meeting new people.
  • Have a generous spirit and a humble approach—you build relationships with authenticity.
  • Are organized and detail-oriented—you follow through with contacts and outreach plans.
  • Love being out in the community and making a difference.
  • Are energized by purpose-driven work and believe in the healing power of therapy.
  • Understand (or are eager to learn) the mental health landscape and how to support client access.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in outreach, business development, admissions, recruiting, or healthcare marketing.
  • Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule to attend events or visits (some evenings/weekends may be required).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with public speaking or representing a brand.
  • Prior experience working in or around behavioral health, mental health, or wellness is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Base Salary: $50,000 per year, paid bi-weekly.

Quarterly Growth Bonus:

  • Earn 1% of the total revenue growth for each quarter compared to the previous quarter.
  • This rewards consistent progress as the practice grows.

Therapist Hiring Bonus:

  • Earn $500 for each new part-time therapist who reaches an average of 15 clients per week.
  • Earn $1,000 for each new full-time therapist who reaches an average of 25 clients per week.
  • These bonuses encourage filling offices and helping new team members build their caseloads.

Office Expansion Bonus:

  • Earn a one-time $3,000 bonus for each new office successfully opened.
  • “Successfully opened” means the office is staffed and accepting clients.

Networking Stipend:

  • $250 per month for travel, community outreach, and professional events.

Earning Potential:

  • Typical earnings range from $60,000 to $85,000 per year, with the opportunity to earn over $100,000 as the practice continues to grow.
