Job Overview:

In this key role, the Scheduler performs a variety of scheduling and some light duty reception functions for all areas, including telephone interactions with patients and staff.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school graduate or equivalent

Preferred:

• Computer experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Scheduling requirements:

• Shift- 8:00am-4:00pm/schedule varies
• Per Diem/As needed

Essential Functions:

• Accurately obtains all missing information needed from initial scheduling
• Schedule numerous departments for outpatient services
• Ensure that the scheduling is performed and organized, efficient and timely manner
• Verifies all insurance coverage
• The scheduler performs all duties and function in relation to the scheduling and pre-registration
• Effectively handles 80-100 calls per day with minimal or no error
• Enter data correctly in patient’s accounts, updates patients benefits and confirms that all patients have a prescription in EPIC
• Works closely with department and assist as needed
• Schedule on EPIC and Dentrix
• Confirmation calls
• Demonstrates excellent customer service in communication with callers.
