Staff Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our client in Hillside, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• All shifts available
• 1st Shift: 6AM - 2:30PM
• 2nd Shift: 2PM - 10:30PM
• 3rd Shift: 10PM - 6:30AM
• Plus overtime

Pay Rate:

• $25 / hour

Job Summary:

Looking for experienced Maintenance Mechanics. The successful candidate will work with the maintenance manager to quickly diagnose problems and prevent downtime.

Job Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failure and production delays
• Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment, including disassembly, part replacement, and reassembly
• Interpret and work from mechanical and electromechanical schematics and drawings
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of AC/DC drives, 3-phase motors, and transformers
• Work with PLCs, sensors, and measurement instruments at a basic level
• Maintain safety standards and follow company procedures at all times
• Assist coworkers and perform other duties as assigned to support the maintenance team
• Track and submit work orders using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment (required)
• Proficient in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Skilled with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
• Strong communication skills to report issues and updates clearly
• Ability to follow procedures independently after training
• General computer literacy to input maintenance data

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a packaging plant or similar industrial facility
