Junior Financial Analyst (Must Have Workday Experience)

Job Title: Junior Financial Analyst

Location: Holmdel, NJ

Reports To: Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

The Junior Financial Analyst supports the financial operations of Victory Home Remodeling by managing daily cash applications, reconciling bank accounts, and ensuring accurate revenue and commission reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cash Application: 40%

• Process high-volume daily cash applications in Workday Financials

• Ensure timely and accurate application of customer payments

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between cash receipts and revenue

• Bank Reconciliation: 10%

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in bank transactions

• Accounts Receivable Management: 20%

• Maintain accurate customer account records

• Monitor aging reports and follow up internally on overdue balances

• Reporting and Analysis: 30%

• Reconcile contract revenue to Accounts Receivable records

• Support month-end close, including journal entries and reporting

• Assist with audits, insurance requests, and ad hoc financial tasks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Experience in accounts receivable or similar role

• Knowledge of revenue recognition (ASC 606) required

• Proficiency in Workday Financials and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to manage high volume transactions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
