The company is currently seeking for a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer with a strong background in Fortinet technologies to join a team in Branchburg, New Jersey. This role requires an individual who can design, implement, and maintain secure and efficient network solutions while working on-site. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls, routers, and other networking equipment and a solid understanding of networking principles and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Fortinet network solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitch, and FortiAPs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance and security, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
• Implement and maintain network security policies, VPNs, and access control measures.
• Perform regular firmware upgrades, patches, and system maintenance on Fortinet devices.
• Provide technical support for network-related issues and ensure quick resolution.
• Conduct network assessments and capacity planning to support business growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address network requirements for new projects and initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of network architecture, configurations, and processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with Fortinet technologies and emerging trends in networking and cybersecurity.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Fortinet technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Fortinet products, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, and FortiAP.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, routing, and switching.
• Experience with VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and content filtering.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing network monitoring tools and protocols (SNMP, Syslog).
• Familiarity with wireless networking and endpoint security solutions.
• Fortinet certifications such as NSE4, NSE5, or higher are strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other networking vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Knowledge of cloud-based networking solutions and SD-WAN.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
