We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Columbus, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting month-end close processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your accounting expertise and contribute to the success of a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and execute month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant with accounting standards.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including adjustments and accruals, to reflect accurate financial data.
• Reconcile accounts and bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting procedures and improve efficiency.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all accounting operations.
• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting functions.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role.• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and maintaining general ledger accounts.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience with accounts receivable operations, including invoicing and collections.
• Advanced understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
