Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (In Office)

Compensation: Competitive base salary of $70,000–$82,500 depending on experience, plus bonus potential

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Initially, this role will focus on managing Accounts Payable for the first few months to support the team during a maternity leave. Following this period, the position will transition into a broader Staff Accountant role responsible for general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting across domestic and international operations.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely financial processes while supporting broader accounting functions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and comfortable handling confidential information while working cross-functionally with HR, Finance, external vendors and customers, and international partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in accounts payable, including but not limited to, vendor master set up, weekly payments, vendor inquiries, and processing invoices through our AP Automated system
• Assist with monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts and credit cards
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• Support year-end functions, including providing documentation for outside auditor requests
• Support the Fixed Asset Administrator when necessary
• Support the Accounts Receivable Administrator when necessary
• Support the Payroll Administrator when necessary
• Support other members of the Finance Team when necessary
• Answer Phones as necessary

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance is required
• 3-5 years Manufacturing accounting experience. Knowledge of purchase orders is a plus
• Experience with ERP system, preferably SAP
• Experience with AP Automated system a plus
• Intermediate knowledge of relevant computer software (Word, Excel)

• Ability to speak, read and write the English language
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills
• Demonstrated excellent communication and organization skills
• Ability to work with confidential information

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 40 lbs (copy paper, etc.)
• Able to climb stairs
• Ability to travel
• Able to run errands with vehicle when necessary (bank, post office, etc.)
