Manufacturing Company Urgently Hiring Shipping/Receiving Coordinator to Start ASAP for Career Direct Hire Opportunity

Position: Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

Location: South Hackensack, NJ

Pay: $23-$25/hour ; Overtime: $34.50-$37.50/hour

Shift: 8:30am-5pm (Monday-Friday)

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator manages and maintains the flow of materials through the warehouse, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately, safely, and on time. This role involves hands-on work with inventory, packaging, and material handling equipment, including a forklift, to support efficient warehouse operations and high-quality order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the overall flow of the warehouse to support efficient shipping and receiving operations.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by printing labels, packaging orders, and staging outgoing orders for pickup or delivery.
• Physically receive incoming orders, including unloading, verifying contents, and checking documentation for accuracy.
• Use a forklift to move pallets and materials safely within the warehouse and staging areas.
• Perform physical inventory counts and support manual inventory tracking, inventory control, and cycle counting activities.
• Stage outbound shipments using the forklift to ensure orders are organized and ready for carrier pickup or local delivery.
• Handle and process products, including electronic or medical devices, with care and attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities using warehouse systems and ERP tools as required.
• Package products securely to prevent damage during transit and ensure compliance with shipping requirements.
• Support warehouse logistics by organizing materials, maintaining clean and orderly work areas, and following established workflows.
• Occasionally drive to deliver local orders as needed, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Follow all safety procedures related to forklift operation, material handling, and warehouse activities.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of shipping and receiving experience in a similar industry.
• Hands-on experience with forklift operation for moving pallets and staging shipments.
• Warehouse inventory management, including inventory tracking and cycle counting.
• Proven experience in shipping and receiving, including physically receiving inbound shipments and staging outbound shipments.
• Ability to perform packaging tasks accurately and efficiently for outgoing orders.
• Experience with logistics and material handling in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily responsibilities.
• Basic familiarity with ERP or related systems used for inventory and shipping activities.
• Valid capability and willingness to drive for occasional local deliveries.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when handling orders, documentation, and inventory records.

This is a Permanent position based out of South Hackensack, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $52000.00/yr.
